Title: B44 barrel

Can you fit a round barrel and head straight on to a b44 that had the newer square barrel?   Any one selling one?

not sure, I think so, I can send you a square barrel to try out as need Chris to bore it.

Bazza old chum, have you considered sticking the square barrel in the lathe and trimming the fins until..voila...you've got a round barrel 'legal' for pre 65 *  To answer your question though, it bolts straight on.
