I was wondering if anyone can help me.
I want to know if RM forks and Tank and seat fit easily to a DR500.
I don't see the forks being a problem, however if anyone has done it confirmation would be great. It looks like a RM tank and seat would fit without to much modifications however I am hoping that someone who has done it could give me some feedback. Looking at building a DRM500 with RM parts left over?
I hope someone can help
Thanks for reading

Hey Bundi
I have 2 DR500's and was thinking along the same lines. One has 4,000k's on the clock and very original. The other is good but a bit bastardised. I'll be watching this thread with interest.
I'm from a Dirt Track & Speedway background and would like to turn

Pressed the wrong Key.

Hey poofboy (Bundi), your head will be spinning now! I have some of those parts lying around. Need to do something with the standard seat for sure, looks like a fat arse sheila from behind. But then again, maybe you like FAS's.
Cheers,

Rm forks and triples work fine , cut rear of seat by 80mm and frame also ( DR seat is Tooooo long )
Find yourself an alloy tank and your bike will look half decent :)
Rm 125 B C seat fits with mods

I have a DR500 1983 model ,it has 1982 rm 250 front end they have 38mm forks less chance of bending these instead of the DR ones, but you will have to press the centre shalf out of the org DR bottom triple clamp and install
it in the rm bottom triple clamp because of the diffrent lengths, this is to fit the RM triple clamps, but i run the org tank and seat on mine
The RM 250 84,85,86 rear wheels will suit the org DR500 alloy swing arm because these wheels run the right size axles to suit the swing arm ,,and all these RM wheels have the same part numbers ;)but they only have 130mm brake hub size than the org DR wheel being 150mm,but the rm wheels are lighter :o
I would post a pic but havent got this far on the forum ;D
