Thanks BigK and Hiekki360,
First thing I wanted to know, is the Mikkola replica jsus a marketing ploy with a few decals to bling it up and thats it or was there improvements to the engine, suspension, etc over a standard 360?
Cheers
Hiekki360, got any pics on your beast?

The 1975 360 GP Mikkola Replica, 2045 motor ML 00001 upwards frame number, was a copy of the works bike from 74. It had lay down shocks with 7" of travel and 7.5" travel forks. This bike was the first generation big bore magnesium motors, six speed gearbox and reed valves, points ignition, Bing carby, maroon tank.
One of the classic Husky motor crossers.
The Mikkola sticker was put on by the dealers and was available as an accessory item.

Here we go
Wrong kickstart, engine plates painted black, should be natural aluminium, 1976 pipe, air cleaner should grey, wrong shocks should be Girlings, wrong handlebars, shouldn't have the tool bag on the rear fender or speedo, wrong brake torque arm, wrong tank colour looks like the sides are painted silver not polished, wrong front number plate mounting bracket, foot brake bracket should be silver, wrong carby.

Great job 67. I would add that the footpegs and stand should be silver, not black. The compression release shouldn't be there either. As an aside, I have often wondered where the "ape hangers" come from on many of the dirt bikes you see for sale in the USA. Hideous bars, but I suppose they are for sitting-down trail riding? Which raises another question, who would use a 360GP/CR for a trail bike? Different strokes I guess...

Thanks Guys,
I see now I know shite about what is genuine and what is a bitza.
I'd much prefer a basket case thats original than pay top dollar for show piece made from spares of various makes.
Not a cent will be spent until I run it past you guys.
Appreciate the info given so far.
This is gunna be a long process! But I'm patient. Today I am anyway.
Anytime you hear on the grapevine of anything genuine come up, pop us a PM.
