Whatever you do, don't tell him any jokes or give him a cold. The last thing he needs is to sneeze, cough or laugh. ::)
Get well soon matey.

Yes it seems Mister nice guy Steve Sweeney was preparing for Sundays VIPER event after not having riding fot 2 months and came a gutser. He had been in Europe recently too spectate at the World Motocross Championship event.
Here is Steves SMS that I guess most VIPER guys recieved last night(I thought that it was my alarm going off already)
"Hi All.On Sat I was doing easy training at Parwan near Bacchus Marsh.I high sided my 125 (didn't know he had one) broke 9 ribs &collar bone also puntured left lung...incredible pain waiting20 min for ambo.Unsure why I crashed.Helmet gouged a 4m furrow in hard track.Neck brace reallysaved me.I'm now in Epsworth Hospital so care is top notch(doesn't mention anything about the nurse talent) .Its amazing what a big whack of drugs can do.
They say the injury is prettybad.I aim to be back racing in 12 weeks.Steve Sweeney"
Best wishes for a speedy recovery Steve , you were missed last Sunday and you missed a good one.

Mr Sweeney,
Team Maico would like to pass on their best wishes to you for a speedy recovery. You've had a fair run of injuries over the years, but this one sounds the worst. I'm sure you will receive the best possible care.
Take Care & see you soon

Wow.. bad news. Steve's taken a big digger by the sounds of it.
I go to Parwan now & again (I live 15mins away), and I can tell you that it is as hard as concrete & rocky. Real blue-groove! If he's managed to doze a furrow into that surface, he's hit it hard. Tony Greig's key wouldn't make a dent in it.
Steve, I've taken up a lot of driving & retreated to the soft, sandy loam of Gippsland.. I highly recommend it! :D
Get well soon!
