Title: Get well soon Michael

Well I know that none of you were aware, but Michael Bamford went into hospital today to have a tumour removed from his Kidney. I am glad to report that after nearly four hours in theatre, all went well, and they were able to save the kidney. However I doubt that he will be able to ride at the Nationals, and thats a real shame, because he has been out there  helping others get their bikes ready for the Nats.
So to you our dear friend I wish you a speedy recovery.

Michael and I have been having a philosophical battle for years but I've always found him to be a decent bloke despite our differences. I've a mate, Bill Brown just go through the same kidney problem (see Bill Brown thread) so realise the trauma Michaels going through.

I wish him all the best for a speedy and full recovery and hope he's soon well enough to return to both the track and the forum.

yep, jikov is a wealth of knowledge thats for sure. he's helped me out more than once.
some might say his kidney op was 2 years too late. ;D
only cause he took out his age group win at the Coffs/Nats in 07... :D

Get well soon Micheal, if you can not ride at the nats then I expect you to be our pit bitch at the least!.If theres time between prepping, washing our bikes and generally looking after us maybe you can help Firko do some commentary. It would be funny as all shit, a bit like those 2 old blokes in the muppets up in the box.Hurry up and get out of the clink. See ya soon, John.

I was talking with Michael a couple of days ago and he was talking it up that he will be right for the nationals.

I agree Bill, Basils onto something. At least I'd have Michael captive in the announcers box where he couldn't avoid my sticky quuestions. ;D But if he isn't up to the rigors of motocross bashing his still tender kidneys around, we may just make a cool announcing team...the Kotchie and Mel of VMX!
