hey guys came across a rear that i thought was an rm 250 wheel 76-78  but the hub is magnesium . any one know what  rm  might have used magnesium

Some RM's had magnesium hubs as factory optional extras, ive seen them in old suzuki accessories brochures. The magnesium hub part numbers also show up in the parts books. it could be 370 or 250. You could also get Remote reservoir KYB's as factory optional extras.

I have NOS mag one on one of my bikes. It is official Suzuki part number.

Its lighter but not as strong as alloy one and quite rare..... I would keep it in a box and take it out and stare at it occasionally.
