Title: Shipping bikes within US

Does anyone have a reliable shipper they can recommend for moving a bike internally in the US.  I want to get it from Iowa to Long Beach. Have been quoted US$750 - seems steep.  Any thing to watch out for to avoid rip offs? cheers

internal shipping in the us is expensive.look on marks swapmeet some one might be gooing that way.

I did as you suggested and some guys on Marks suggested Patriot Express.  Contacted Jason via their website and was quoted US$350 Iowa to West Coast.  Uses covered trailer and runs across regularly.  Does a few deliveries for DDR into Seattle also as it turns out.  US$350 is over half what some other mobs quoted me so it pays to shop around and ask! Thanks for the steer :) :).

I have used Kiwi Karriers to transport from Montana to California and found them reliable and well priced. They had no problem dealing with Aussies but I made the effort to phone them and chat.

Canam....why would you expect Kiwis to have problems dealing with Aussies  ??? ??? ???.  I am shocked at the insinuation ;D ;D ;D
