Hi GUYS
WELL all the guys who organised the 85evo ride day for the weekend did a great job
we had 24 riders logged and 48 bikes turn up there were some goodies bags and a couple of motor bike models given out at lunch time that put a few smiles on peoples faces
the crowd was actualy rather large with family members coming along
we had big bore makos a lot of the Yellow brigade and plenty of the hondas to play with in the mud
we even had a young lady on a Yamaha doing some laps and making a bloody fine job of it
if i remember right i even noticed a green thing doing laps
the track had seen a lot of rain through the week so a couple of spots were treturous for an old fart like me my Honda even tried to introduce me to the front wheel the huskys had a goood run and looked great when three of them left the pits to do laps
Hopefully some of the guys will add to this post and give you some more details
Thanks to Paul Copley Andrew redmond Pat smyth and all the guys who got this together and made it a bloody great day for evey one
Look out you eastern staters it looks like 85evo will come on and become a big force in motox

In an effort to bridge the gap in WA. A ride day was held at Beverley. 24 riders and about 50 bike, some guys have more money than sense!!lol. Great track (Beverley Districts motorcycle Club)great preparation and canteen. Quite a few spectators and great interest shown in getting the club up and running. Everybody had a ball even those of us who'se bike just didn't want to play!!! (yep mine again)
Will post some photo's soon
Attempts have been made before to raise a club in WA, but have failed to gain serious support. This is a serious attempt to raise the profile of pre85 and other vintage MX events. This year Pre85 were invited to race at Tumbullgum and Manjimup 1500 and it's profile has been raised because of this. It is hoped that Pre85 is added to other modern events in WA in 2010
We have a great pre75 club (VMXWA) in WA but no real pre85 competition. The idea of the pre85 club is to compliment the VMXWA club, which has excellent membership and is run very efficiently. Through the exchange of ideas, offers of assistance in running club and major VMX events, through to running combined events, it is hoped will raise the profile of all forms of VMX within the state.
Anybody wanting info regarding the club, can either PM me or email [email protected]
