Title: 1973 Deckson Demon Fuel Tank Wanted
Post by: DR on July 04, 2009, 11:16:20 am
::) okay, when you can stop laughing I'm really and truly chasing a Deckson or Deltek, Tas or similar fuel tank for my latest time waster ;) Preferably the squarish shaped type but will consider any very small tank that would sit on the spastic top frame rails ;)

 :o they have a website!!  8)

I be buggered..there's a pic of a sidecar similar to what I want to build on that site but mine, being the base model "DEMON' (sounds like an animal eh!) doesn't have that unnessecary suspension crap to worry about so a sidehack will be toooo easy :D will have to get a pic of my mate Robs Z500 grassgrub..she's a weapon ;D

I'm sure there are a few closet Deckson/Deltek owners out there, for a lot of us they were the starting point for a life on two wheels. :) :)

A Grassgrub. hmm.. I seem to recall a young mate trying to jump a small ramp with one - yes his badly broken leg pointed out the error in that plan!!

:D Luke, I'd also witnessed a similar nasty accident many eons ago and the memory has stuck :o The look of shear terror on his face was priceless and the face plant that followed scored a perfect 10 in my books! :D a third wheel should make things even more interesting eh..just need to find a pilot ;D

:o No way....a mini bike dragster. And one thats got a landspeed record on the Bonneville salt flats as well.
What are these hardy souls thinking of?
100 points for ingenuity, and 300 for big balls.
Oi Doc,if you need a rider I know a guy who does jumps off ramps, etc.maybe he can get some big air under your Mighty Deckson Demon, show you what they can really do.  ::)

hmmm..if I can only get a 428 or 520 pitch sprocket on the rear I'd have so many more options but at the moment the big block Wicta 160 Commando is prime candidate for the motivational unit (it's era too! sorta :P) I've a super polished Baby Bong or Baby Animal carbie (can't remember which it is :P) + I was going to purchase one of those $35 pitpuss expansion chambers, a CJ8-ESHSVXRRR super Iridium racing plug and voila! I have a piece of history that I thank God I never had to ride as a kid ;D  another $50 and I can rebuild the engine too! :D

But,Doc.........with all these mods you've suggested,it will make it easier for my mate to be jumping Crusty Ds best riders on an Aussie made Deckson.
