I've always admired trials riders. The skill, patience and balance they have is amazing. Anyone can ride motocross, dirt track or road racing, but not everyone can ride trials. Great shots mate, they really get what the event is all about.

The old trials bikes are just as pretty as old MX ers! ;)
I nearly got into trials a few months ago and was actively looking for an old bike.
But a timely visit to a VMX changed that...
'Ón any Sunday' refers to trials riders as "The violin players of dirt bikes" or words to that effect.
Sooo slow - but the skills are amazing.

Great photo's. very exciting to watch. specially those kids that can litterly climb the walls. Ever seen that X games trial ? freeking amazing

i dont care what anyone says,
my next bike will be a trials mount.
great pics, love the terrain...

I can't wait to get the Maico Trials bike going so I can crash and face plant with those guys. Nice shots Tony.

saw some of the current indoor trials on Foxtel just this last month and those guys actually do things that shouldn't be possible - and thats enough to scare me!!!!

It doesn't really show it, but in that last shot, the ground is a loooooong way down. As in 30 feet almost vertical............... :o
One guy's bike got hooked up in a tree at that spot while he endo'd to the bottom..............

It's been 4 years since I've looked at a trials event. I loved it! As a spectator, it's so easy to get up REALLY close and feel a part of it all. Not sure I could ever be good enough (or brave enough) to enter Open Solo, but the twin shock course seemed achievable and fun.
Your RL would be just the thing I reckon Doc. ;)
