Title: disc brake back wheel.
Post by: firko on June 23, 2009, 07:57:51 pm
I'm looking to purchase a disc brake back wheel with brake caliper, preferably with a 19" rim (an 18" will do if that's all I can get!) to suit my Benelli flat track project. I'm not fussed as to what brand of bike the wheels from, all I ask is that the rim be straight and spokes all there and rust free. Axle, spacers and master cylinder and all mounting hardware to suit will also be needed.

Also looking for a 19"alloy rimmed disc brake wirefront wheel, especially TX750 Yamaha.

Triumph T160 triples have 19 inch rear disc if that helps. Might want to consider availability of 19 inch tyres though.

Many late motocrossers use 19" rears. I'll use Maxxis flat track tyres. Plenty available in 19".

JIm there is a MX 19 front thats i think a bridgstone its 80/90 19 or somthing works better than a speedway or the US FT fatty on the front took my a while to learn that lesson, but if he wants the full width US tyre look, which after all is the point ( thats why it took me so long to put the little 19"mx tyre on it),  get a W2.5 rim for the front and stuff a fatty on it   ;)  if you think about it with a 2.5 and a 3 on the rear you wont need a stand ! the bike should stand up by itself  :D

Firko front wheel should end up looking like this if you use a TX or the Honda
