anyone got an idea on the year of this rm465 as it came as a frame only and it,s doin my head  :'(in on what year to buy for 81 0r 82 in that iv,e allready got 82 465 motor and 82 front forks  frame number does not match any simple formula that i can see  ??? frame number is RM465-100447 cheers for any help

Welcome to my world,I have a RM465Z engine soon to be placed in a 1983 500D frame.Happy days!

The frames are virtually indentical anyway.

If its 81 the frame will have a bolt on bracket for the CDI to bolt to
If its 82 the frame will have a welded on bracket for the CDI to fit to with a rubber strap

that being the case (as i allready have 2 pe ,s that are back to original )this can be a  BITZA,you know bitza this bitza that  ;D,yes the frames seem pretty much the same as the triple clamps for the 82 fit spot on so i can run the bigger front shocks ,thats the go thanks guys

THE 500  engine was the best motot by a mile !   where is the engin outta  that frame  ?

frame came from the wreckers sunshine coast engine came from my local wreckers frame may be 81 everything else is 82 allmost complete
