if anyone wants oversize aftermarket, made in USA forged piston kits for 80-82 PE400's please visit here
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PEmotorcycles
or contact
http://www.anchakandsons.com/
price will be $199 USD per piston kit
sizes will be +1mm & +1.50mm and maybe +1.25mm if people want them.
other sizes and sleeves will be made as demand increases and bores wear out ;)
PE 400 owners, this is what you have been waiting for, no more bodgy fitting of pistons from other bikes to get more life from your big bore PE. Please take to oportunity to get one while someone is willing to make them.
also PE400 head gaskets available soon. ;)

A copper head gasket would be a doddle to make, I would say after you make a dxf you could have 15-20 laser/water cut for $100AUD.I got onto a supply of hollow bar in casting grade aluminium, so Nikasil sleeves will be a snack for me to do here.No more rebores, use the cheap as standard size pistons, no need to look endlessly for newish cylinders.

Yep been snappng up those Std pistons and rings ;)
Leith is it a goer ???? what about replacement rings or a secound set when ordering

shouldnt be a problem
yes the gaskets would be laser/water cut in bulk.

Looking for 1980 PE400 head gasket!!

You could make your own out of sheet copper, Piss easy .... a pair of snips a hole punch plus a bit of heat to soften ( anneal ) it prior to installation .

Ought to get Wiseco to delete the machining of the piston around the gudgeon pins. Creates bad hot spots on the piston.

Thought had crossed my mind oldfart.
I would hazard that an RM400 copper gasket would do the job?
