Can someone please tell me what changes were made between 1975 to 1977 to this great bike.
Thanks
-
Well...... The VR's actually stopped in '74. The '75 model was the V-75 (duh) and the only real difference was that the shocks laid forward a lot more and had reservoirs on them. It also had white guards. Not much difference between that and the VA ('76) but then the first VB came along in 1977 with longer suspension, an up-pipe and a killer motor. I'm sure someone else can put the pics up or just have a look on the Southwest Montesa site. ;)

Hey thanks for that I have been offered a 77 & was told that it was the same from 75 to 77, I know little about Montesa's but love the lines, I currently have lots of Suzuki & Honda's
Cheers

Sorry but I think that's the '78... :P
'77 should have the rear frame loop and the muffler should be under the seat.

Yeah I know that, but if it vaguely like this one it ain't a VR ;) 8).

If it was vauegly like Jeff's bike, I'd be paying ten grand for it. More!.... ;D ;)

The darn guy has a fleet!
2-414's or is it 3?
3-VB's
and 1 VR...

Ok it's a 250 Enduro engine number 54m4851 frame ARD-N0-28 enduro 250 Montesa 54m4851, does anybody know this model & was it any different to 1975 & 1976 model in regards to the engine?
Thanks
-
Motor was the same for those two years. No major change in the Enduro motor until 1977
when they went to a 6 speed trans. Your Enduro, could be an A, H or K model from 1974 to 1976.

so are they all fixed

Yes. All fixed. The pictures I was putting into photobucket were too large. I downloaded a resizer and now all is good.
Do you think I should do a before and after topic on this poor VB 360?

haven.t you allready done one here on that bike
-
It didn't last long. I can go further in-depth and tell how I had to battle lions along the way. And how that Greek beauty tried to seduct me whilst her co-conspiriters tried to sneak the bike away.
It'd make a nice distraction from all the crap that's going on about footpegs (again!)
And could people please note that I haven't bought into that argument at all (although it got too much for someone we know.... :D)
-
foot peg springs has turn into state off origin.last time i looked some one was looking for a lump off wood
