I'm lead to believe 400 Suz pistons can be used in CZ. Does anybody know what's involved?
Is gudgeon dia & deck ht the same?
-
HI ,
I dont know if Suzuki pistons fit ,I do know that CZ 400 piston will fit perfectly, without any machining or modification ,
cheers
-
I also think that the suzi 400 pistons are a perfect replacement for a suzi 400 piston........rings are interchangable as well, most other components also, come to think of it ;)

if you realy must you can buy wisco kits up to 2mm oversive for 380czs over the inernet from cz stuff uk.why would you put jap stuff into a perfictly good cech engine, which you can still buy everything to repair gen cz.even sleves
-
JC, it's the 82mm TS/TM400 pistons I believe that slot into the 380. Unsure of dimensions but I do have a couple in the garage I can measure if you have a CZ item for comparison ;)
-
if you do it in a few days i still have my new 1st oversize gen cz piston to measure aganst befor i put it in the motor
cheers
-
TS/TM400 = 20mm pin, 24mm deck height (from top of gudgeon hole to top edge of piston), 80mm skirt from top to bottom, 6mm top dome height (measured with piston inverted on flat surface)

Boys dont even bother with those Jap scrap pistons I bought a 400 motor with a new one in it years ago it lasted 2 meetings wore out quicker than a borrowed chainsaw . I get long life from a wiseco if its run @ 20:1 with good oil and run in like this
15 minutes light riding -allow to cool o/night 20 mins medium riding allow to cool - check base nuts , then race as normal
always warm the engine up for a while @ low revs till its warm before riding wiscos are forged and take time to expand to correct size- clearance

ive got a 72 cz250 when pulled the motor down it to had a suzuki piston in it

I've been laying low but can't stand to see the suffering of messing with zook pistons that are probably harder to obtain than Wiseco from a good friendly CZ supplier in the USA:
http://www.nwmaicoandcz.com/
I'm guessing they do sleeves as well & fact there's possibly more of those (OEM) available than stock pistons.

i also know guys in the states to sell gen pistons and also do or sll you gen sleves
send this guy an email of what you want

Im keen to use Aussie shops first, and most of the places in the USA don't have sleeves,Ive only found one and he wants $400 US for a second hand one plus $200 for shipping, so I aint gettin that one, surely there is more places that make sleeves to match you can get them for cars so I don't see why some one can't do it for bikes as for a piston thats not the problem I need a sleeve!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D ;D

Where are you Shakey?

Im in cold Canberra ;D ;D ;D

A guy here in Queensland can make a sleeve for you. He is slow but good and reasonably priced.
His name is George Mackenzie 32064230.
