Title: IT490 to YZ Tank Swap????

I have just purchased a really nice IT490 1984 to race at the Vintage nationals and perhaps some Vinduros later down the track - does anyone know IF there is a YZ tank that fits this model and if I can swap from IT to YZ depending on event?

Gday Darren...probably a bit late for the Nats but I have done the job for my IT250k. A YZ250K tank will fit on but you need to reshape the "tunnel" of the tank to clear the wider rear section of the IT`s backbone.  The IT tank mounts need to be used. The IT seat doesnt quite match up to the tank so I got a YZ seat (I think it was a K, could be J) which I haven`t got around to trial fitting yet. Still, I reckon because of the plastic seat base, it can be made to fit. Cheers
