You reckon the MK 10 was a quantum leap? Feast your eyes on this baby:

from the pictures of the mk15 420 i have seen around , the engine looks a long way removed from the traditional bully , japanese?   were they a works bike only i wonder ? or just a very small  amount built and sold locally before the closure ?

Its a shame bultaco stopped building bikes, truly a work of art.

That looks like the 125 above. Yes, the engines were a totally new more modern design. 125 engine looked somewhat akin to a Yam engine.

They were said to be pre-production works bikes but the factory folded before they could go into prod'n. Pomery came back to ride them & they were ridden in the spanish nat'l championships

I have some info & pics in books. May try to scan some more info & post it.

That was the impression I was under but some recent surfing showed that there are quite a" lot" of them around. Or maybe I should say, more than I expected. The question was sparked by this: (http://i589.photobucket.com/albums/ss338/BULTACOBRIS/scan0001.jpg)

For somebody to do that to such a supposedly rare bike either he's rolling in it or they ain't that rare.
