Hi, looking for a rfvc motor for the 1985 XR250, going or not, anything considered, Damien

be careful as the heads had a tendancy to crack between the spark plug and the valve seats.  are you going to put it in an XR250 frame or something else?

You can get the spark plug hole machined out and piece replaced to take a smaller dia spark plug ;) so there is more meat between the plug and valve ;) a mate of mine had it done in syd ,and has no probs,or ballards can get it done for you ....they have had no call backs 8)

yes it is for the 85 xr frame, the motor is all i am missing now to complete restoration, and thanks for the info on the heads and spark plug hole, sounds like money well spent to have it modified, thanks again, anyone out there with a motor they dont need anymore and want to sell, will also consider complete bike, thanks Damien
