Having just blasted all the crud and paint off my TM125 barrel I have noticed that the transfer ports have been enlarged to the point where the right port has broken through to the outside, close to where the lower bolt hole under the exhaust port is. >:( >:( >:(
I am going to have to weld it up and remachine it all - DAMN IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How much difference to the way the engine performs does the work on the transfer ports have on these motors??? I seem to remember someone saying one was bigger than the other......mine are both about the same, with no obvious size difference......
Am I better off finding a replacment unmodified one?
Its not bad, been done very well apart from some over indulgence with the dremel in this area.... ;)

this would be a good one for Lozza to answer

I know the answer the good man will give me too............. "read your book" ;D ;) - Lozza will know what i mean ;)

Ask and you shall receive, yes and "read your book" "eat your greens" and "don't chew with your mouth open" ;)
A pic would help but there is an easy fix, and since it's fecked already you can only go forwards. Some JB Weld or Liquid steel will fix the hole but p52 will show you what should be done with the transfers.

Yes Dad............. :D
Have read and understand.... thats about what has been done to them already.....
Will find some JB weld and stuff it in the crack.
Never used this stuff before, is it good?
Had a rummage through the wreckers bits today, got lots of early MX stuff.... ;D I will be making a list of bits I need and will be paying him another visit soon....
Didnt even know he had this stuff and he is right on my back door step !!!
