Title: 18" rear tyres.

Anyone taking themselves seriously enough that they're replacing rear tyres before they're rooted?

I've got a few low budget bikes that need rear tyres... I've got a pretty good supply of not-very-used front tyres, but useable 18" rears are proving difficult to find.

Prefer smaller sizes: 3.50 , 4.00, 4.10 in the old sizing system and anything below 110/100 in the new.
Need knobbies AND universals.

I'm expecting to pay cash, but if you want to take good second hand fronts or 19" rears as payment, then I'm sure we can work something out.

I realise they are in the US but they are reasonably priced, it just depends on how desparate you are...

 Nat go to your local bike shop or bike tyre mart. out the back there will be a pile of em. i have only bought one new tyre in my life,   18 tyres should be stacked up. i went out the back of the shop today and i found about 3 pairs of tt250 tyre they shipped with and look like they may have had a months use tops and a pile of MX ones that i use for another 5 years :O)

if in doubt just ask the tyre guys cause they have to pay to get them collected so they love to give em away . cost you nothing FREEEEEE i tells ya FRREEEE

Yeah. Its a good supply. Got a bunch of useable tyres from my local bike shop. 18s, 14s and 21s. All for nicks.

Doesn't work in Canberra...

Shop 1 (where I'm a regular, and they're also a wrecker): Nope, got nothing.
Shop 2 (big tyre seller): No, we won't ever sell second hand tyres.
Shop 3: We've got a guy who comes and grabs anything useable.

The guy at the local shop mostly fixes Ag bikes, so there's nothing usable for me there... And the few racers he does look after all have 19" rears.

hey nathan i work at a bike shop we give away used tyres all the time ill keeep an eye out for any 18" tyres

NO i dont want to buy em - i want to help you get rid  of them. just grab them from out the back.  when you next driving interstate then pull up at any bike shop and grab a handfull, theyll  have then stacked up for collection out the back , unless the local kids like to set fire to them.  Id give to you 10 sets tomorrow but how would you get them to you ?
