Could someone answer my question, 1973 CR250M CRANK CASES ARE THEY THE SAME AS 75-76 MODEL CR, MT, MR CRANK CASES
-
NO
the motors are completly different.the only things you can use in 1973 crank cases from 1975/76 are
1 gear box/clutch
2 clutch cover
3 ignition cover will fit but not the same
mt250 head and barrell will interchange but mr and 1975/76 wont
if you used 1975\76 crank you would have to use 75\76 ignition cove as well as the crank shafts are wider 73\74 no bump 175\76 mt and mr bump on ign case.i could go on but what do you want to build and what do you have
cheers

Jim, I have a CR250M COMPLETE BIKE, AND BUYING UP SOME SPARES, the plug on my left side at the bottom is missing. to fix it l would need to replace the left side crank case, its just one of those a annoying thinks. My tank is leaking and has a knee inprint., thinking about replacing it or fix it. Need original front brake and clutch perches,

Probalbly got a case for you Dave, but yours is probably repairable. I have the reproduction levers & perches in stock. No-one will know they're not original. If you're trying to go all original, you'll have to have a patience transplant and you might be able to ride the bike in 3 or 4 years if you're still sane by then.
Cheers,

you will need to by gen cr250 crankcases as the mt has some sort of oil pump drive on the lhs.cr250 mr 250 are out as the barrels atach diferently.
you could bild a race motor from a mt but i think you are trying to make a gen cr250 not a look alike.
cheers
