yep er185 electrics do work but you need to recut the taper on the flywheel to suit the cz crank

trev
how is it a pain in the leg.
my cr 250 elsinore has points and is fairly easy to start,on the other hand if the timing is not 100% correct it wil be a bitch of a thing to start just like my 360 yamaha with cdi ignition.have you thought of running 1 plug and a decompresser to make it easy to start.i am building a yellow tank cz400 and at this stage it will have points as i want the heavy flywheel efect.i also have a tt500 hagon yamaha 11.1 comp running methenol it has the decompressor and points, easy as to start, goes too fast for me to ride it at its full potencial
cheers
jim

I went electronic after i was having issues with the points system. It is common for the windings to come loose . My bike was hard to start and was failing during riding.
I noticed the difference in power and ease of starting.
I just put my hand in my pocket and bought one from Les at mainly Maico.
