Title: Yamaha DT1F unfinished project.
Post by: Nathan S on May 23, 2009, 09:45:33 pm
Sold.

Reed valve DT1, aka DT3.

Bike was a complete, running, unthrashed bike before being pulled down for a cosmetic rebuild. Never a coastal bike, believed to be ex-Snowy Mountain Hydro fleet.

Good clean frame, only needs two extra brackets removed and painting.
Un-rusty, straight 34mm forks.
Original shocks, still work well.
Full set (I think) of silver cables.
All road gear.
Clean wheels, very good trials uni front tyre (rear tyre has plenty of tread, but also cracks in the sidewalls).
Excellent seat base, rust free and uncracked.

Front and rear mudguards, airbox, pipe, triple clamps, brake pedal, battery box, etc have all been bead blasted and repainted.
Fuel tank is ready for paint.

Spare motor, pipe, and additional spare reed valve top end available.

Dead simple to finish, I just don't have the time.

Ring for further details, pics coming soon.

$850 ono. Sold.

Yes!

Although th photos that I took outside all didn't work out....
Here's the ones that did work.

Everything in these first two pics, is ready to bolt onto the bike - have been bead blasted and painted/loved. Also includes bash plate, rear brake torque rod, chain guide and a few other bits not visible.

Tub full of bits. Headlight very good, air filter intact, original shocks still working (ie: not leaking, good shafts) although there's some surface rust on the springs.

Pics of frame, wheels, etc when I get the chance to take some more.

Original motor. Excellent rod, smooth big ends, clean Autolube pump - should only need cleaning/detailling before fitting to bike.

Spare top end is back left of photo (yes, a useless photo - justs proves that the parts exist, which seems to matter to some people).

Spare motor. Carby not included.
