Title: Crawford River Classic
Post by: Noel on May 10, 2009, 07:55:59 pm
This Means the legends memorial  Feature races

Roy East     Pre 65
John Hine     Pre 70
Geoff Eldridge    pre75
and
Ray Ryan   pre78

I've entered three of the four
CZ360 Pre 70
Honda 250 Elsinore Pre75
and Honda CR125 or Yamaha XT500 for pre78 (can't make up my mind on this one)
and maybe a 1980 RM125 for the   support races

who's coming and what are you bringing

cheers
Noel

Just the square barrell and a bottle of Turkey and a good attitude :D

A Good Attitude ay Rosco? Where'd ya find that one - Ebay?

Didn't even realise that you were in the market - but I'm sure you'll be a lot happier with it, esp as your old Bad Attitude was obviously getting quite worn out from over-use.

Etc.  ;D

Me, I'll be bringing my DT1 (pre-70), KDX200 (pre-85 support race) and something else.
I feel a bit stupid on the bike choices, really - I've been riding the pre-78 era bikes exclusively for the last 18 months, and when The Event for those era bikes rolls around, I suddenly find myself all motivated to fix/race the KDX, IT250, and YZ125L.

Meh, the third bike will probably be the 125X, but its well overdue for a piston and rebore.

The John Hine will be particularly interesting this year as there's going to be a fair depth of competition.
Off the top of my head:
Rosco, 250 square barrel.
Noel, 360 side piper.
Nev, RT1.
Nathan, DT1.
Don, CT1.
Peter, AT1.
Mike, Trumpy Metisse.
Birko, some dirty Spanish contraption.

Compared to last year, nothing can be assumed to be the same - Rosco's first VMX since falling off on flat, smooth ground, Noel's first MX with a knobby tyre, new bikes for Nev, Mark, Don and myself, Pete having made the Uber-AT1, Mike getting faster every event, etc.
On like Donkey Kong, I reckon. :)

Shit... I had a dozen names last night, now I can only think of half of them.  :-[

Add Snowy on a Bandido, Moto on a Montadero, Couple of Metisse's with Auscobul's bully will be specatacle for the pre 65 Roy East, hope it there is enough numbers to run it seperate to pre 70. Bultaco Macca not being able to ride in the Geoff Eldridge memorial a bit of a let down, who could  forget last years finish ;D

Note to self, Find where Nathans Camped :-*

Thought you got rid of the DT1

Bit of mud might be right Mick, as usual, Newcastle has been good for a bit of rain the last week or two and Buladelah always a bit more and just picturing that first right hander on the grass track, it will be some fun entertaining times ;D

Need to rehash that, the weather up here is a treat today, warm & sunny and a light breeze and should dry out nicely for the weekend, be good to get this work crap out of the way so can go riding :D

I like to hedge my bets both ways :D Good way to confuse you Queenslanders, you won't know what setup to run, ;D good to see you guys making a return back after a few years absence, pretty good run down the pacific highway these days
