your opinion --------suzuki tm 250 a better bike or honda elsinore  250 is better

			-
It's not even close... the Honda is a mile ahead of a TM250.

			-
in my opinion its the tm only because i really like them not in the motor or performance stakes the elsie is probably a great bike im after a tm though thanks Michael. :)

			-
Yeah it probably comes down to brand preference in vintage racing.. We're not racing for sheep stations. Pick your favourite colour ;)

			-
Would the TM have a stronger gearbox then the honda

			-
Yes the TM would have a stronger gearbox.. or maybe they didn't break because of the lack of power :D Being an A grader from the 70's wouldn't you remember which of those bikes were better? It was pretty obvious at the time.

			-
im after a tm400 i dont think that suffers lack of power but its claimed to be a bugger of a bike doesnt worry me i still want one :)

			-
I reckon you'd have a bit of fun on one of them. :)

			-
personally I love the TM250's. They ride just fine and for an intermediate/half serious sort of rider you couldn't go past them. On a dirt track they're at their best. Bulletproof is a word I use often with the early suzuki's and I'll use it again with the TM250 as there are no common issues unlike some other marques ;)

you break my heart JohnnyO   :(   :'(
How can you be so heartless about TM's   :'(
They have stood the test of time and won many a race................well so have the CR's  ;)    ;D

			-
Yes l do, Johnny, l was sponsored on Honda elsinore 250 & 125. l didn`t have much to do will tm back then, raced against fellows on them at the time,  l personlly did like them, but when you get older l am a bit drawn to them, and l am just finding out everybodies opinion. I feel that they are to heavy. cheers david

John Kaiser suzuki tm 73 model, well prepared, when he does ride the vintage meetings, he rides very well for an ex A grader, would be nice to see him back racing.
Michael l nearly bought a ts 400, some friends of mine race tm 400, and they say the ts 400 is the answer, heavier fly wheel, much easier to ride.

VMX247 i like suzukis, my first bike was a TM75 but i think the CR makes a better race bike. The TM's are good solid reliable bikes and can get the job done in the right hands.

broken hearts aside-exactly and it depends who is riding it,the past has taught us that with world Champions... :P
Its all down to money and who had the contracts signed at that particular time... :o
This is a question that has no answer really- in my opinion  :-\
cheers

no brainer Honda....however if you are considering buying a bike for racing pick one you can still get gearboxes/cylinders and parts for easily.  ;)

Hodaka 125 may the answer, Just sold my YZ 125 A

			-
it's about 250's I know but a fully sorted Hoddie will probably dish out a wooping on both the TM and CR125 ;)
