I have it on good authority that the bike on ebay is a good solid rider.
Certainly worth a look for someone who wants a trouble free walk up start for pre 70 / 75 250 class with a European mount?
Try buying one and restoring it for that money !!! - IF you can get hold of a good core bike.
Buy it and race it at CRC

That Maico 250 squarie is indeed a good thing. It's owned by Tony Young who threw some decent money at it a few years ago. Well known Maico racer Mick Hockley had a bit to do with its creation and having raced against the bike and observing it at the races for a few years can back the owners claims that it's a good bike and ready to rock'n'roll. I have an inkling that it has a late Magnum style clutch and PVL ignition but they may not be on the bike now so don't take my word. I can agree with Dave that you wouldn't be able to restore a dunger to to that standard for the kind of money it's on at the moment.
