Another thread has some bickering and bitching about two VMX meetings in Victoria on the same day. I say "Shit happens" but I bet there are plenty of other states or even countries that would love to have two strong supported VMX based series going even if a very rare overlap occurred. ;)
Enough on that ,
Now back to the Question , Which club or clubs or associations concerned with any sort of competition motorcycles are you a member or life member of? Me at present, Motorcycling Australia (MA) being a licensed Steward, and surprise not any VMX based club, I am a member of the Speedway Sidecar Riders Association of Victoria. "SSRAV" Cheers Tim754

You better join TMBill and myself in the "Twin Shock Moto-X Association" Doc. We just started the club last Sunday and are looking to run a two round series this winter, and maybe a three or four round series next winter.
Im also a member of the Wanganui Motorcycle Club
and the Wanganui Vintage Motocross Club
I think my membership to QVMX may have expired now, but I was a member.

as i am a left-over from the old one-man-one club rule, i am a member of one club only(city of penrith mcc life member). the only reason i would join any additional club would be to allow me to ride at a meeting that penrith club is not involved with. the old one-man-one club rule had a lot going for it, but its no longer possible for legal reasons, plus with the old system few clubs could afford to present a club day under present conditions. cheers wally.

My local bike club, Clare MCC. For my national comp licence so I can compete in the SA road trial series, and where I act as an official and coach on club/practice days. Therfore I am also a member of Motorcycling Aust, by virtue of being a licenced coach and official.
My local vintage club, Northern Auto Resoration Club (NARC) who cater for cars, bikes, tractors and all old machinery As I own a collection of classic bikes, a classic sports car and a classic tractor, and I need to be a member of a "classic/historic" club to get the historic rego on my sports car and old bikes.
SR500 Club of Australia, as 5 of my 13 500 Yamahas are SR500s.
Dry Lake Racers Australia. Because one of my SR500s has been built up for salt lake/ land speed racing.

i digress...c j tell me what you call a classic sports car?....and a classic tractor? cheers wally.

So Wasp, presuming you are in Australia. If it is not the committee's agitating on behalf of club members how do you propose we get to where you want it to be.
-
Wally I call my 16.2 litre single cylinder Lanz Bulldog tractor a classic. and you think starting a XT500 can be a chore! it requires a explosive cartridge to turn it over after you have heated the injector and barrel with a blow touch, likes to run on unrefined crude oil, maximum screaming revs 520......

No sorry Wasp and you would know how hard that is for me to say!!!. Old barrel guts is the only item I would not part with even though I hardly see her as she tours the classic tractor meets. Basically the Lanz was a present from my Dad when I was 18 (he really did win it in a game of cards!!!) The very next evening he was accidently struck and killed at his work on the Victorian Railways. Will keep the eyes and ears out for Lanz for you, they do appear around here on the quiet now and then. Cheers and thanks for the offer again mate. Tim

Manly Warringah MC is located on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. It's like the Sunshine Coast of Sydney. (All of those cashed-up tradies love riding bikes, dirt and road)
Moree is 1.5 hours south of the Qld Border (but a fair way inland), Narrabri is another hour South of Moree, and Inverell is 2 hours to the East of Narrabri. Or, Narrabri is a 6 hour drive from Sydney..
One thing I know, no matter where you live, one often ends up buying bikes and parts from the other side of the country!
-
cool thanks Jimmy...
so the cashed up tradies who love riding bikes, dirt and road,,,,,
Do they also put those little speedo bathers on at the MANLY beach and run around and save people from drowning ? or are they thuther siders ;D :D ;D
