thanks for any help

VMXR on US Ebay is worth a shot. I'm happy with the service and the quality of the YZ125C seat cover I got from them.

Whats wrong with the NZ place? Im just asking because There are a few different places that make seat covers here and if you have a had a problem, then who with and what was the problem?
-
i never implied or said anything was bad with the NZ covers, but they dont have one for the DT1 anyway. so i needed to know what options there was. the place i am thinking of is called ecological investments. i have used about 5 or 6 seat covers from them before and they were all ok.

All good LWC, I just wondered why you didnt want to buy from NZ when you would get good value for your $$$.
Try this place http://www.charmans.co.nz/
They have been going for years and have most seat covers. Just give them an email for cost and shipping.

Ok i desperately need a OEM replica seat cover (or NOS) for a Gold 69 DT1 250. The NZ guy doesnt have them and the one that VMX racing has is not the right sort. The one they have is the short one and i need the long one. Apparantly the US models have a shorter 16 inch seat ??? i need one for the Australian model DT-1-S or 'Station' bike, but im sure the Station bike seat is the same as the normal Australian 68/69 Trail DT250.

eBay.......What Nathan said. I used one on my concourse DT1 and nobody's picked it as a repro.
-
I had a DT3 cover made a few years ago by Eldorado in South Aus. The quality was exceptional, correct grain, piping and welded stitching. Not sure if he's still in business.
-
The repro seat cover is perfect but I wasn't happy with the repro foam and will redo the seat later on when I convert the bike to GYTMX livery.

ok thanks guys. I know eldorado is pretty hard to get hold of these days. I checked out the one Nathan said but it said it was the short type and there is a long type (which i think is what i need) and when compared to the seat on the 69 DT1-S it was shorter. I think im going to have to get the onwer to bring back the seat and try and see if he has the original seat and compare it to firkos pic.

OK can any one tell me how long a DT1250 seat from 68/69 is? does i got the measurment from the owner and his is 570mm long which is longer that the cover on ebay
How lond is the seat on the bike in your photo Firko? where did you get your cover from?
my point is that the ebay one says its for a 16inch seat would you say yours is 16 inch? 570mm is way longer than 16 inch so i really do not know.
Im seeing if i can get a photo of the seat on the bike to compare it to your photo.
thanks
