Bob Neilson in Las Vegas recently sold an almost identical Tribsa to an Aussie. He told me the guys name but it didn't ring any bells. Edgar Phipps has the most historically interesting Tribsa around. It was built by Hedley Gunter in the UK and he brought it with him when the family migrated here. Hedley raced it at Mt Kembla and Moorebank and Graeme Bartholomew won an Aussie title on it in the early 60s. Later, his son Terry started racing on it and young Anthony Gunter even had some laps on it when he was a kid. It was at last years Classic Dirt in the Kevlar Kompound.

i am building 1 but it will take time and money.
so far i have got
frame
boattail guard and seat
engine plates
ossa front forks
maybe cz wheels if yamaha ones work ok in my 250cz
was going to put my art senior 350 ariel in it but looking for a unit 500 or 650 triumph
will be built as pre 65 dirt track bike

Les Bowen's yummy Tribsa features in the Old Bike Australasia coverage of HBBB in issue #13 in the shops now, strange how the proven Tribsa formula worked equally well in both roadracing and dirt applications. When you're right, you're right... ;)

If you are trying to decide between a 500 and 650 , you will be always chasing a 650 ,at least to the first corner,on a 500 ,you'll have a bigger smile on a 650 even just listening to it ,still a great range of go fast bits for 650 unit motors,
