i'll see you there but won't be riding, this time i'll wave a flag or something.doug tyerman is making my leathers respectable again after rubbing them along the ground once more, plus finances are short. my bike needs a new pipe made up and a nice new sticky front tyre to help me get round the top corner without any more damage to my leathers and my old bones! cheers wally.

See ya there...................If it does not get f@#&ing well rained out..........fingers crossed!
-
well it didn'nt rain , on the contrary it was as dry as a chip.the cold wind would near blow a dog of its chain.the dust was a bit alarming at times especially as it followed all the bikes down the start straight .quite a number of riders had difficulty with their radar and went straight past turn one! quite a number of riders stood on their forehead on turn two and turn three but most got up with a silly grin. i think a good time was had by all.i saw noel charging around quite well on his cz and some good action from the sliders.cheers wally.

A beaut day, lots of sliders, lots of sidecars, a pretty bloody good roll-up of vintage bikes, perfect weather, a good track and everyone went home in the same car they arrived in.
Wallys right, Noel had is CZ honking, cant say the same for his XT - I reckon the thing is POSSESSED - swears backwards, spews green stuff and handles accordingly!!
-
Well run day for sure.
Luckily they weren't needed but I didn't see any ambos there?
-
they were there motoman but i don't think they saw much action fortunately....their vehicle was parked on the infield between turn one & turn two. did you notice the mss velo touring around quite smartly? i believe the motor was the one Syd Lawrence got 138 mph at bathurst with! cheers wally.

Thanks for coming along and Flagging for us Wally even though you didn't have a ride,
I was pitted with the Velo ,and yes when running properly it was quick,
but they were having mystery intermittent electrical issues which didn't let them show its potential.
Ahhh the XT .... mmmm. the worst thing it did all day was start easily,, so I had to ride it ::)
sorry you got to follow me must have been a worry ,
cheers
Noel

done n dusted again, good days racing,at least the CZ was behaving Noel ;D,bloody velo, when the ignition was sorted it decided to run out of fuel, my ossa's aircleaner passed me down the back straight, next lap i see this weird round thing lying on the inside line, ??? ,gets off bike in pits, errr, thinking back it picked about 1000revs,(i had momentarily thought the clutch shit itself),memo to self, need bigger unifilter ::)
-
i have been told by some one who really new what he was talking about to never use unifilter oil on the foam as restricts air flow too much.
-
Wally, that guy who really knew what he was talking about re the air filter oil. Did he enlighten you as to what we should be using and if so can you give us the drum.
-
he raced cars and suggested that i use just engine oil squeezed out with clean rag wrapped round the foam.that's what i do now. in the past i had rich running problems that appeared to be caused by that treacly unifilter oil. the fellow that told me was the late Phill Wishart, one of natures gentlemen. cheers wally.
