Can someone please advise which model Montesa 250 motocrosser was the last with the low pipe?
Many thanks in advance. ;D

VA250/360 Tony.
VA250 was somewhat similar to V75 but had a little more travel both ends, longer wheelbase & diff porting which made it very quick.
VA360 was same chassis but completely new motor.
VA motors where quite diff to VB in both 250 & 360. So were chassis

Many thanks, JC.
Roughly, what were the build dates of the VA's?
-
October 1975 to late Spring 1976. 900 of the 250's were produced. 465 of the 360's.
-
Jared, when did the VB's come out? How soon after Spring 76?
-
Pardon me for butting in with the obvious, but can I just mention dates for 'Spring' vary according to location...
Cappra, are you referring to Spring in the USA?

The VA360 :D.

When I worked at the dealer, I remember the new models coming out in October/November. I have been told two different stories by
supposed experts! One was that they ran off a certain amount of a model and then warehoused them until sold. The other story is that
they ran production until Spring (March/April in the US) and then stopped.

Excellent info, fellas. As usual.......... ;)
Many thanks.

Rather than starting a new thread can somebody ( aka Jared) id this frame to a model and year ?
73M 8530
it looks like an enduro like the H6 but much earlier ln feel like the V75
there are no numbers on the top left of the motor like the H6 had but the motor looks similar and has the crinkle cut head etc.

Could be a late V75 or an early VA model. If it's got square forklegs with the tubes sticking up out of the
clamps, then it's a 1976 VA 250. numbers are on the steering head and on top of the front motor mount.
