Title: Montesa 74 VR250 Cappra
Post by: maicomc490t on April 18, 2009, 08:43:33 am
I have decided that the VR250 I bought from Mike Hughes a while back is a project I no longer need so I am intending to offer it for sale soon.

In the interests of honesty I must say (unlike someone else) the cases are damaged around the kick-start area and WILL require repairs - no ifs or buts (wish I had known that before I bought it!)

The rest of the bike is OK apart from the usual forward mount mods from the glorious 70's

The seat is scrap but may yield brackets

It has no carb (easy to get)

Rear rim has a crack

Photos will be taken shortly or arrange an inspection some time.

If you want it shipped somewhere I will do my best to help but YOU arrange everything.

I will also be listing stuff I bought on ebay for it for what I paid for them. They will be offered at what I paid for them and are as follows;

1) Full size poster

2) Three NOS Tarabusi piston kits

3) OEM front race plate and OEM mounting hardware

4) NOS silencer hanger

PM if interested

What does that mean nathan your going to pay more than me ? or that your post was after mine, or that have you already paid a deposit ?

besides all that youll still have to hide it from the missus as well, specially after i tell her you still have 2 more bikes at my place  ;D ;D

FYI

The VR250 has now gone to Nathan who was very quick off the mark.

Read his account in the Spanish bike section.

Sorry to disappoint anyone and see you at the Crawford River Classic.
