Hi All,
wilson's my name and I'm new to the forum have been restoring XT 500's with my 70 year old dad but have decided to restore a Yamaha yz 80 b the problem is the seat base is gone and needs to be replaced any ideas where I can find another one or is it something I'm going have to try and make myself.

Gidday, all of those buggars rusted out, they are very hard to find second hand or NOS .If its not to bad repair it. Cheers John.

Ebay in the US is the place to find one of them. They are the same on the A, B, C and D models.

i,ve laid up glass seat bases for the frontera and others , it is easy , with tank , rear guard , side covers , ect , place foam where u want clearance and lay some layers of glad wrap over the entire area , lay your light matting and resin , play around with the edge to get it how u want , use a photo of an origional , make some brackets , take the whole bike to the upholsterer , with your photo
