G'day Suzuki-philes,
Does anybody know much about these little bikes? They were also known as the Trail 80 and Hill Billy in some markets.
Anyone here own one, or owned one in the past?
I'm guessing they are quite rare, and probably hard to get parts for.

There was one of these for sale a while ago in Adelaide I think. I had a little bid, but didn't win.

yup I have a Hillbilly although mine had the vmx treatment with B100 forks, swingarm. shocks and wheels. The petrol tank hides within the Bultaco tank..it's tucked away over at mums with the GTS185 twin and other oddballs I've created ;)

I assume these run with an oil injection system (not pre-mix)...
Were they a popular runabout?

According to that site I posted a link to, you had to mix your own oil and fuel on the early ones. But on the K15P introduced in 1967 it had oil injection.

yup, mine is a premix but like near all the early Zooks you have to remove the oil guide plate so as the main gets lubed if you plan to go premix. The oil guide plate on these models is on the right which is a change from the usual setup on the left. They were a fairly popular bike in various guises and there are still a few kicking around. $300-$500 for a reasonable to good K10/K11 or K15 seems about the going price. Mine was a parts bike I picked up for $40. I then purchased 2 spare motors (K10 80cc) for $100..when the engines are so indestructable God knows why I wanted spare motors but I bought them anyway ::)

they did Pokey but the 120cc powerplant in the Peter Gaunt Specials was much more suited and these motors are/were based on the B100 engine. I have a couple of those 120cc B100 engines awaiting their day also ;D

Yep - early Suzuki trivia the P was added when the model gained the PUMP for the CCI (crankcase cyclinder injection). So a K15 became a K15P , the B100 became a B100P (the BLOOP) etc.

Aha, so any previous ones were premix.
