You will have more luck going for a TS, and there isn't much difference in spec anyway. Big difference in price, which you can promptly spend on suspension, which you would have to buy anyway with the TM.Don't worry about any HP difference these can be made more powerful than the chassis can handle ;D

we know you are hangin out for a 400 ;D
get this and bore it out

all the time with the ts's if i buy a ts i will do it to ts specs i wont an original tm400 i dont mind if its shabby etc etc crap shocks i will be more happy to spend more on a project tm400 than a complete ts400 to make tm400 specs thanks Michael. :)
-
yeah Lozza we have tryed to say TS can be made like or even better than a TM but he only wants a TM ;)
i reckon you would be better off starting off wiht a as complete TM as you can. starting with a bare bones frame and motor is a big job, and you thought those were hard to find, well wait until you need to go searching for all the other parts like right bolts etc that are discontinued. People with individual parts wont want to sell them as they keep them as spares for their main race bikes.

Frosty,
If you are prepared to take some risk this guy is offering this service.......
OVERSEAS SHIPPING
I also offer shipping services to buyers outside the United States whether you buy a bike from me or from someone else. I can pick up a bike you bought from a US seller, break it down into parts and ship it to you. I'm only willing to drive up to 300 miles each way from zip code 49009 though. So, don't ask me for help with a bike any further than that unless you can get it shipped to me first. You could arrange a shipment within the US to me with uship.com. I use freightquote.com for overseas shipping. Once the bike is my hands I will clean it up, take it apart, pack it up and fill out the neccessary paperwork on my side. I charge $1 a loaded-mile for picking up the bike and $200 to clean, break down and pack it up. Shipping cost to Australia as an example was around $700 last time I did it. That's for 6-10 day air delivered to the Port-of-Entry at all the major airports in Australia. That is only an example price though, each bike to a different location will be different obviously. I can accept PayPal or direct wire transfer for my part of the services. All shipping costs must be paid for my you. Please contact me to arrange a shipment or if you have any questions.
See www.fullfloater.com/for_sale_bikes.html
With the exchange rate getting better it may be a viable option.
