I'm thinking of a Yamaha YZ100 82/83 model as something that both my Son and I could occasionally ride. Would it handle a 70Kg adult?
(I think it's partly because as a kid I always wanted a YZ80J but I ended up with something much less exotic..)
cheers

yeah no worries i have a mate with one any 2 stroke even the rm80 can usually can handle that weight im 16 and 80kilos had no trouble on rm80 the other day and got on a yz100 as well a 78 model though with suspension through the roof bigger than my pe400 and a dg head on it youd be fine with that stock standard yz100

Yeah, a 70kg person is pretty much the target market for a YZ100.
I rode one once, as a kid - as worn out as it was, it was a great fun bike to ride. Roger Harvey actually had a couple of pages in an ADB in the late 1980s, talking about how great his worn out YZ100J was, and I agreeed wit everything he said: it needs to be flogged to work properly; its still slow by the standards of a 125 of the same age; it makes you feel like a god when it you're riding it.

thanks guys
any bike that makes you think you're a god whilst riding it must be okay!
