Title: Vintage face/mouth guard for helmet
Post by: LWC82PE on March 28, 2009, 02:56:44 pm
Wanted - NOS Face/mouth guard that attaches to a helmet with 2 studs on each side like this photo. Plastc with the material edging or similar. Prefer a suzuki style one or white/yellow/blue/black colours, but wouldnt rule out other colours. Can be DG or Sinisalo brand or any other brand that made them. Fox made them with 3 studs on each side but i dont really want that sort.

Is there a guy in Australia who has a stack of NOS DG stuff like this? i think there is?

i may have some parts to swap like a NOS Malcolm smith leather tool bag.

my email is [email protected]
thanks

I believe it may well be one in the same Leith. I had one cause it was the same as Gaston wore during his '75/'76 tour down under.

I had a Bell moto star.... The first of the intergrated mouth guard helmets. It is still sitting out in the garage so if you would like a photo, let me know.
and is that a pair of Vendramini goggles Gaston is wearing, or have I got the name wrong  ??? I had a pair similar to those but alas they finally perished when part of the shed roof blew off and everything inside was water damaged.
But I do still have my Gaston Foxwear red yellow and black Suzuki jersey. it had a tear in the front not long after buying it so I stopped wearing it and it is still in great condition.. except for the large tear....

Is that picture from the cover of a mid 70's Revs magazine?
