Title: CD6 questions
Post by: floberts on March 25, 2009, 09:52:10 am
I have a couple of questions re: CD6.

To ride the vinduro track you need a head and tailight, do these both have to be in working order?

Can you ride your enduro bike on the mx track?

Cant wait till June.

Cheers

i've just read through all the blurb on the VMX mag site and this is looking bloody awesome!
2 mx tracks! Vinduro and trials!
i'd reckon the "lights" thing for the vinduro would be more to keep within the theme of the "enduro" look as i doubt there'd be any road going section the the course as there's no mention of rego.
might need to throw a headlight on the RT1. :)

Hi - headlight and tail light required on enduro loop but lights don't need to operate.

Enduro bikes can be ridden on the motocross track (obviously, motocross bikes cannot be ridden on the enduro loop).

Thanks

Ken

Come on Ken what if it is a motocross bike with a head and tail light?? ;) :D ;D >:( :( :o

I'm showing some emotion over this one Ken :'(

That's cool, if it has a headlight and tail light then it's not a motocross bike.

Ken

mmm... thinking more about this one, if I were to attach, via some sort of sticking device (tape ;D )a light of sorts to the rear guard of the PE (which is an MX rear guard these days) do you reckon anyone would care?

Make a Bracket that goes around the rear loop, or between RHs & LHs indicators

unfortunately I'd have to weld the rear loop back on between the non-existent indicators ;D

I suppose what I should have asked is, how dodgy brothers can my lighting be without giving someone the irrits??

Would push bike lights be ok?

good question DR500. Back in the day I ran a dolphin torch taped to the crossbar. I'm sure I am not the only one to try it but maybe the only to admit it :D

Hey Doc,
That could be the hot set-up if the creek is running high!!

i'm guilty too Doc, when i was about 18 or so i threw the dolfin on the handlebars of my trusty TY175 and rode about 5klms through suburbia in the dark to visit the young lady of the day.
i never did it again.
the dolphin, not the girl...  :D

VMX42, if the creeks running high I may have to strap some floaties to the RL :D

well you two have buggered my plans ::). I've got a yellow Dolphin torch at home, and was thinking how hilarious and never-seen-before it would be to tape it to the PE

sorry mainline ;D also tried the pushy dynamo clamped to the front fork but it fell off into the spokes and subsequently got lost in the dark wilderness just round the corner from home :-\ no regulation also meant anything over 30mph and the bulbs blew with monotonous frequency so you had to carry a pocket full of spares ::)
