interesting to see if it sells and for some reason I am a little sceptical of it's newness..the killswitch on the wrong side seems almost an unimaginable fopar for anyone in the know and what happened to the foil Suzuki decal from the mag cover??? the tank stickers don't sit right with me for some reason also ???

For a newbie you sure know your Suzi details
-
I just had a look at a brochure and apart from the tank decals being too high the Suzuki lettering is the wrong font. Also where's the front plate?
-
It features Akront wheel decals; is that correct?
-
yes Akronts could be original. Suzuki did use Akronts around this period and i have seen many other early RM's and TM's with those rims.

g'day Brent

if I were parting with $9000 for this bike I'd like to know a lot more ;)
-
Looks pretty cool to me.
Front number plate? (small rock).
Looks like a museum piece.

I agree that the tank decals seem a touch too big :o, and yeah... the mag cover decal was a glued on alloy strip and should have left some traces of glue if it had been there in the first place. It may have been 33 years since checking out a new TM100 on the showroom floor but this one doesn't look like NOS.
and weren't the footpegs black serrated? or am I wrong ::)
-
so do we really believe its nos or is it partly restored ??? I was wondering if the carby breather hoses might have been black originally?
it probably is all original, but you just never know with ebay stuff. People claim stuff to something its not all the time and try and hide or cover up things or leave out some vital information that as a potential buyer you would like to know.

Bargain, IF it had the original Japanese air in the tyres ::)

I wish Doc was here... he could tell just by lookin'! :(

The person has a good eBay record, why would we doubt?
None of us aussies are likeley to buy, so why are we criticising this persons listing?
100's are not anyones cups of tea, on a good storm, but this looks nice. I would like to think we could encourage some sales for this guy. Is that possible?
-
just not convinced of it's total originality for the $$$$, it maybe as new as you'll get but it's not 100% original as stated. The footpegs are correct and so is the carb vent tube colour but I thought there was supposed to be a rubber shroud over the carb top also ?
-
I guess that RM100 for $450.00 on Ebay a few weeks back was not pristine either but was mostly all there and on the Nth'n Beaches of Sydney much easier to pick up than a US bike.
But it is a lot of money to spend just to get the privilege of being the first person to break the kickstart lever ;D :D
-
It's not the sort of thing you'd want to ride if you paid that much for. It would instantly drop about 7 grand in value.
-
If it is a TM100, in Australia it already has dropped $7000 as it has to run in 125cc classes.

:D :D
