Title: Newly acquired
Post by: DJRacing on March 21, 2009, 07:59:01 pm
I have just bought this and I have most gear to put it back to a motocross bike but it would make a good flat tracker or do I keep it as a road racer  ;)  ;D  ;D

Carn Deej !! Surely you've got enough mx 125s in stock, get your clacker rattling and go roadracing....no good for Pukekohe or Manfield, but would be ok round Taupo or Wanganui...leathers to match...get stuck in, son !!  ;)

Hhmmm ugly but cool in it's own way DJ . you have a heap of MXer's already maybe leave it in it's current setup till you cant ride bumps anymore and ride it into retirement maybe . Might have to change the bars for Flattrack but it's a lot of fun

An interesting looking bike.
I'd keep it in road race trim and have some fun at that.
Can I assume there's a vintage road race scene similar to our dirt fraternity?

Living some King Kenny dreams along the way. Leave it as is DJ and have a go on the tar ( speed is fun) would need a down pipe to run properly though.

Just the thing to take for a squirt down the shops for the milk and bread.

Lozza, gotta agree about the down pipe if it stays in road trim. If I do change it back to MX, I have a spare frame and front end so I can keep the road rolling chassis.
I need plenty of MX bikes for you buggars that come over from Oz  ;)  ;D

I was thinking I could do a few mods/alterations to this bike like a DG swingarm, YZ-D forks and even a YZ125D/E seat, keep the C/X tank and I need to Talk with John T when he comes over for the final round about a rear shock. (thinking about YZ125F with the alloy body cut to fit).

DJ , I wonder if you would even looked at it if it wasn't yellow and black with matching leathers ?
