-

-
yeah, sorry Robin, it's stuffed!
i'll give ya $50 bucks for it.. :)
-
Nah, barely used, almost brand new. ;D ;D ;)

I think the beauty of these things is that you can still get nearly ANYTHING for these bikes via Bultaco Parts and the other Bully specialist around the globe...... :'(
-
IMHO just about any Pursang in any state is worth a resto!
-
No problem - I've restored much worse than that!!!
Cheers,
Mark

Give Peter Schoene at Bultaco parts Australia a ring, he will have or get all the bits you need. In no time you will be ripping up the track with a big smile.

I paid allot for a "runner" which looks the same..........yeah i know!
If you have any tips on removing the swing arm bolt please share.

It would make a fine resto, if you are really worried about it I can take it off your hands. As far the swing arm bolt the answer is in the name "SWING" a heavy object thus being a hammer with a punch and away you go.
-
Pay attention here is the lesson on removing the swingarm bolt ( this is method 2 as the frame wont fit under my press) step 1get esky, step 2 fill esky with ice step 3 put at least a 6pack in step 4 whilst the beer is cooling down go to hardware shop and buy 4 good quality hack saw blades and a milk crate if you don`t already have one ,tho all good dirt bike owners should have at least three spare at all times step 5 open beer step 6 fit new hack saw blades step 7 intake of 1st beer and then start cutting, enjoy. when the swingarm axle has been cut off both ends you then press the remander out

Thanks Shoreline........this process will obviously require technical help via numerous onlookers armed with cold beer.
-
Shoreline nailed it pretty good except for a few errors ;D
# Replace beers with a cans of Bourbon
# Replace hacksaw with 5" grinder & thin blades.
Another helpful trick is to place a bottle jack inbetween the frame rails to slightly pry open enough room for either hacksaw blade or grinder disc to fit through.
Just spread slightly & it will flex back
And be careful when putting parts in a press, I have had to repair a few frames that had the swingarm pivot gussets on the frame crushed from too much force.
-
You are spoiling them GMC by telling about thin discs

Sorry Shoreline, I will try to keep quit about trade secrets in future ;D
If trying to press the bolt out keep an eye on where the movement is happening so it doesn't end up ike this. I have seen a few frames damaged like this over the years.
