Title: Carby ...ID
Post by: 390 ROCKET on March 16, 2009, 12:05:31 pm
Hi guys
I have a Mikuni 38mm carby...? that I need parts for I have been told may have come off
an early 80's RM 250.?
just wondering if anyone can confirm..Very hard to make out any numbers
but the needle and seat has 3.3 marked under it and I think the main jet said 43
other marks on the exterior of the carby reads
 38  I think
 94
 other markings are  1t
                             2...?
Sorry about the lack of info
Cheers
 Rick

www.iwt.com.au for Mikuni parts/info/help

RM 250/400 were 36mm up to 1980

if it has a round slide and is not a flat slide then the only RM250 carb it could be would be the '81 X model,  in '82 they changed to flatslide type carbs ;)

yamaha carbs have numbers that reflect the model designation. ;)
