Title: what's this

Was given a the remnants of a  Yamaha motor yesterday. He said it was a YZ 125 out of the 80's. Me, I have no idea :-\. The engin number 1LX-002489. Does anyone know what year it is? Thanks alot Darcy

Thanks Mainline :). Now the next question is will it fit into a 1985 yz125 frame without to much trouble?? ::)

Darcy, Im sorry to inform you that the '86 motor is nothing like the '85. The gearbox was flipped over so the drive spocket is on the other side. The clutch basket is different to the '85 and a few other things.

Thanks alot for that. It doesn't realy matter I was just dreaming and hoping anyway ::)
