Fellow Suzuki members .... page 60 > 63 Now this bloke Jan Geboers has got a shed to die for :)
-
I'm the new bloke so I probably got it wrong but I'm sure it says VMX, Vintage MotoX on the front cover not Vintage Enduro or Vintage Trials. The subscription renewal is looking less likely with every issue, will probably go back to buying from the News Agents. If its got what I want to read and its there I may buy it, if not *shrug*

Ya bloody whinger, all old bikes are good. ;D
-
yeah I thought it another great issue also ;D oldfart, I see you gracing page 43 8)
oldmotoxer, I think you'll find the term vintage motocross covers a very broad spectrum. We all know about the mainstream stuff so it's nice to see some of the more obscure and less well known bikes along side features on the popular models. I found the article on the KT330 very interesting and to me that is one nice bike..matter of fact a regular KT250 is a nice bike. Not what I'd call vintage motocross but technically, you could ride any of the bikes featured on/in VMX Magazine pages at any vintage meeting anywhere and they'd all be head turners so technically they can all be regarded as VMX. A crappy argument but where are you going to find another mag of this calibre directly relating to 'only' vintage motocross?

I'll help your fading eyesight: "VINTAGE MOTOCROSS & DIRT BIKE QUARTERLY".
-
Not crappy argument at all Doc, thanks for expressing a fair dinkum intelligent point of view as I thought I was doing with no personal shots :) As for the 500Fool's comment, well what can I say, the name says it all ;D Even though I'm a year older than yourself lukeb1961 there is nothing wrong with the eye sight, but whats that saying about glass houses and stones?.....Advance hair...yeah yeah ;D
-
hair? I used to have that ;) now where did I put my bloody glasses... grrr...
I loved #31 - as always, they combine interesting articles, great photos, the occasional oddball item and vintage dirt from all over the globe. AND it's done here on OZ. Pretty damned good - even if they don't have enough PE's in it :-)
Cheers!
Luke

Thanks Luke - the cheque's in the mail.... ???
Sorry guys, once Aussie post has their hands on the mag, we have no control over the timing of the delivery of course. All we can do is get it to them as quickly as we can once it's ready at the printers...oh, and of course get it to the printers on time ::)
FYI, We're planning to get issue #31 out in the first week of December, so hopefully (if everything goes to plan ;D) you all should get the next one before Christmas. ;)
-
It actually says 'VMX - Vintage Motocross & Dirt Bike Quarterly'.
Variety is the spice of life.

I agree oldfart, I would be like that kid in the candy store ;D But what a shame that so much great stuff is going to waste sitting on the shelf when it could help another VMXer get his project up and running :-[
-
i would love to get my hands on some of those rm parts how lucky can one guy be :)
-
I thought RM parts were pretty easy to get anyway. Is this not the case?
-
i think they are good to find . but by the looks of his shed he has a good percentage of them :)

I wish that was the case AjayVMX :-\ I have been trying to locate O/S pistons & rings for my 79 RM400 with little to no success, probably because Ol mate has them all on the shelf in his shed ;D . I was dealing with Rick Horvat of Horvat Motorsport in the US who has some arrangement with Wiseco to reproduce the 79 RM400 O/S piston/rings but he has gone mute on me for some reason ???
-
certain parts are hard to find! i can not find a plain old simple NOS Left grip for 1980 PE/RM so i might ask that guy in Belgium. want to try and get at least 6. i can get throttle side ok but they discontinued the left and superceeded it with later pattern grip
-
Lucky Jan I say
-
I'm going to ask a dumb question.
Have you tried Vintage Suzuki?
or maybe Suzuki of Newcastle? ::)
-
i will have to try newcastle suzuki. do they have a lot of NOS parts?

On US ebay right now LWC3077, look under "Motorcycle parts" then type in "Suzuki RM400". There is a Left side original grip now.
