Hi everyone!
Well, we're a little late again, but VMX Issue #37 is now getting much closer to being a reality. This issue has been a bit more difficult to get together, but we think it's a good 'un and hope you will think likewise. Something new - a CZ on the cover! (someone hold Drakey down, please :o)

We should have it out to you guys in about 2 weeks from now... ;D
-
Best cover ever!cant wait to get into the feature.

It appears we hit at least 2 of your targets... 2 out of 4 ain't bad I guess. ;D
I sure hope we sell more than one copy though... :o

Yuk :-\. Black rims and VMX does not compute.
Black rims and other non-period bling shouldn't be on the front cover of a magazine bannered by VMX >:(.
(Rant off - resume normal transmission ;D.)
-
Yep. That proves it. :)
You can't please all of the people, all of the time. ;)

I have to agree. It jars the senses.

VMX is the best mag ever, but I have to agree I farkin hate them black rims...
-
If your wife is really good looking you don't kick her out of bed for farting ;D I don't like the black rims on old bikes but its a nice looking cz and thats what the mag is about ;) jimson

If its pre 75 .....its all very much welcome. ;) 8)

That's a very nice cover. And I'm sorry but I like black rims! Even on vintage bikes. Never much cared for CZs, but that one looks very nice. Hanging out for my fix now...
-
thanks ajay, can't wait!
-
On ya Ken and the VMX team !!!
Bring on issue #37 and who gives a shit if the rims are black, gold or purple - that Commo bike looks good and unlike the show queens I bet it gets raced ...
Gotta love those CZ seats with all the left over vinyl on em ::)
All the best
Dave Mac :D
-
Thanks Dave!
Actually, I discussed the black rims with Ken and he doesn't like 'em either! ;D
But, time had come for a CZ to be on the cover of VMX - there's never been one on there before, believe it or not! :o
By the way, the eBay pre sale of issue #37 is now happening. If you're not a subscriber, check it out! ;)

Wow Mugen 390, now we are talking, the bike Honda should have built in 1979, is that Mugen Japan or Mugen Bendigo ?? ;D
BTW I think the black rims look good and all the seat really needs is the excess vinyl turned into tassles.
-
The tassles would be a good idea, but then wouldn't the hubs have to be 'gold' or silver so they conform to the decadent western needs ???
Bring on the '69 Maico - I have just bought one and will need a shit load of inspiration.
Dave Mac ;)
-
well that bike CZ will be pretty inspirational, all you have to do is build your own light weight frame and lots of bits out of titanium.
-
What's the word, is it in the post yet?
-
Good to see an IT on the cover ;)
I hope all that info we dug up for you helped with your article Ken.
I'll have to buy a copy now! :D

That's good news...I had a disturbing phone call yesterday arvo from an officious Aussie Post guy who told me that the way we post the magazines was all wrong and that they might be returned for relabelling.
Of course, we haven't changed the way we mail in the last 4 years.... ::)

I worked at PO for six years and there isn't nothing wrong with the packing.
Too hard for the lazy twerp to sort them that's all ::)
It could of been this seller you came across, cause he can't quiet hit the VMX market price with his bike ;D ;)

Ahhh... so thats why our community mailbag has mail from up to 80kms away. Aus post no longer use postcodes, they use Suburbs in CAPS!! .... We have no Suburbs where I live... 'caus we don't live in a City. :o
Maybe you should tell the AusPost people that the reason I don't subscribe to your, or any, magazine is that it is more reliable to pick it up from the newsagents than rely on their shoddy service!
