Bloody nice bike RMJJ, I like it just as it sits. Unique! 8) is it a modified 125X/Z frame?? I've a pic of Harry's RA80 and while similar sort ot it's a single shock job. My fav bike after the early RN400 is the RA125 of any year but preferably before the single shock revolution 8)

I may be wrong but had Harry Everts not retired before that Suzuki was launched?  maybe it was his son Stephan Everts

I think it looks really cool, but you are right X tank would be better, black rims have that works look and make a change from alloy ones, seems you either likem or you don't.

don't get me wrong the bike looks awsome!!!!, It is the whole black rim thing in general that I dont like, I never seen a bike with black rims until a few years ago, just looks wrong to me... :)

I would tend to agree, gold would have been more appropriate perhaps. Black looks very Makita Suzuki, too much like Carmichael's bike. But still bike is great.

Like or dislike black rims it will never be a period replica of anything with black rims ::). Sorry to 'burst ya bubble', 'rain on your parade' :P. Great looking bike, detail work and dedication though 8).

hmmm? i wonder if Harry's coming to CD6? 8)
nice bike! i didn't like the tank at first but i've got to respect the detail and effort thats gone into it.
i like black rims, but only on later model bikes.
for my budget, the wreckers seem to be drying up of cheap silver/good quality rims.

Loz, yes I can date those pictures. I have the mag they were released in somewhere and it is definately 1979/80. It's from an old trail and track so I'll have look ;)

When it hits the track and smashes the opposition we'll have you to thank for that Doc. The funny thing is every pic I have seen of the RA 125 has been the twin shock, 81 being the full floater. The elusive RH250 full floater that is referenced on Terry Goode's site (raced latter half of 1980 at Howerton's insistance) I haven't seen a pic of, only pics of Kent with the No1 plate, which would likely to be 81.Thanks heaps if you can find the mag.

Very nice, thanks for sharing; I reckon your mate's done a great job! ;)
I love the tank in particular.
My only critique would be the black rims - I associate black rims with moderns not VMX.
But don't take it to heart, I enjoy jammin' my dick in car doors so what would I know... ;) :D ;D

they be big if they worked..right click on pic, properties, steal the address, paste it in the address bar and open it in a new window for full size :)

Leith as much as I love that RH250 I hate the rear guard it has fitted..might be patina but it spoils the lines unfortunately :-\

I know some one else that was planning a replica, it would be a neat bike to have at classic dirt but would struggle to fit in at the races.
When it hits the track and smashes the opposition we'll have you to thank for that Doc.
What class are you planning to dominate Lozza, I didn't think anyone was running pre 80 anymore, & if they were you would need later model parts to build which would put it into the same basket as Big K's RC 450

I think Lozzas building a road racer not a VMX bike  ;)

There's an easy 35Hp in those engines, but that would be a top end engine though, (as always) fitting a efficient pipe on there is problematic, gearbox is prefect, so is ignition and  good suspension.
I know nothing Mr Doe (whistling)..............................

I'm trying to convince the owner a 110mm rod with an 07 flat top piston, making room for a large billet power reed might be the go ;)

That bike would be George Hollands first sponsored bike of 1981. It was factory backed but it wasn't an RA and indeed it was based on the proddy RM125T. Some trick internals, ignition forks and shocks still didn't cut it against the much lighter and more powerful factory bikes but he did go on to win 6 US national titles before switching camp in about '88 ;)
