First photo 219 TMBill and 78 is me.
2nd photo Pre75 start line
3th photo Wayne and KX250a5
4th photo Murray Anderson
5th photo Dave 35 and Capt Kirk 88
-
Geez, those 2 blokes in the first picture look like they are battling it out for the championship in some sort of grudge match ;D ;D ;)
The bloke on 78 seems to be behind on this occasion ::) Are you back on the X again - Noguchi still a goer?
-
Tony I wish the noguchi was here in the weekend, I could have done with it as the X has no compression and I have to push start it all the time. It was my worse riding since I have been racing vmx. A fourth place in the first race after having to eat dust from TMBills back wheel and then dropping it in the second race putting me in last place after having to push it to get going again and then in the third race I stalled the bloody thing on the start line and half way round the first lap one of my footpegs fell off so the chance to catch up was at a loss. But even though it was my worse day at vmx it was still better than my best day at work. ;D ;D ;D
-
Bad luck mate. Still plenty of rounds to go, so go get him ;)
-
Good to see TMBill back out amongst 'em, another good locale once again too. Is that Colin Davidson on the Maico outside Wayne's KX ?
-
What, no bush fires, no dust; gee you Kiwi's have it soft. ;D
Great shots 8).
-
GD66, sure is Colin on the outside of Wayne, it was the age group racing. The funny thing about the age group racing over here is the the oldest age group is probably the fast "over 46" and WFO. ;D
-
Is that the 'buzzard' circling in on the outside, on his Cooper?
-
TM BILL? Are you sure?
I haven't seen Bill with goggles and a face mask... and gloves!
He's mellowed... ;)
-
It was a great day :) my first ride back since Connondale ;D Rode like a blouse and felt stiff on the TM 125 .
I managed to keep ahead of DJ but couldn't hold the pace of Pete Mcintyre whos racing my RM 125S or Andrew Maisey (Sword) on a 76 KX 125.
DJs going to need a box of compression powder and a bottle of loctite if hes going to hold on to that title this year ;)
Great fields in all classes particularly Pre 75 :) (our pre 75 is really pre 77 as we dont run pre 78 :'( )
It was a bit dusty but fortunatly no injuries , we were missing our legendary comentator Neil Ritchie ( some excuse about comitted to the road race champs :D ) but hes back next round.
Hey Brad can you please send my Aussie RM 125S over for the next round ;) after six months off the old TMs a bit hard on the body LOL
-
Great pics, sorry I missed it. Still, that gave someone else the opportunity to nail down last place in pre-75 250... ;D
-
Great pics, especially the CR (#110). What class is being contested between the XR & DR (#35 & #88)?
Cheers
Tex

There you go lots of help in there ;)
-
Gidday Tex, the class the XR's and DR's run in is called "Evo-Lites" and it is;
(126cc to 185cc 2-stroke, up to 250cc 4-stroke) Pre 81 & 86 only
A great class for all the smallbore enduro bikes.
-
Great photos as usual,
I do have concerns about the bunting being tied off to the timber stakes though, looks like a good way to get impaled. Couldnt the club use like a broomstick into a flat timber base that would just fall over if you hit em. Not meant as criticism, just an observation ;)
-
Rosco at the end of any given meeting the bastards have snapped at least a dozen of the post in half (and then they are a bit iffy )
The broom sticks wouldn't last practice :D
In the event of somone getting impaled on a stake there is a procedure to be followed.
1. Call ambulance
2. Remove riding gear and dress rider in casual clothes.
3. supply injured person with as much alchohol as they require to numb pain .
4. Carefully carry injured person out to roadside
4a. Lay injured person at road side with Bicycle ( an incident bicycle is mandatory at all Kiwi vmx meetings)
5.Keep person comfartable and keep supplied with beer and girlie mags & back copies of VMX mag
6. When medical help arrives nominated witness explains how the poor bastard was cycling past the paddock and slowed to watch some quality VMX racing, when some errant Bloody tourist probably Asian or German cleaned him up.
7. Accompany injured Cyclist to hospital and arrange visiting roster and organise help where needed.
8. Call Cyclist family and advise of incident and offer assistance and sympathy were needed
This system seem to work ok and avoids all that unessercery paperwork and bad press about Motorcycling :)
-
Ira did you receive the photos from me via email?
-

Hey Brad can you please send my Aussie RM 125S over for the next round Wink after six months off the old TMs a bit hard on the body LOL
I took the bike down the post office and they just looked at me funny. They said that the handle bars aren't allowed to stick out of the box! Maybe if you buy a plane ticket and we just put the bike on the plane in the seat. Yep, im an idea's man.
Craig, if you have no luck getting the photos up, send them to me.
-
Bill you should have just jumped on my (x yours) RM S it just sat there all day doing nothing!! ;D
-
John, I had a bad enough day without you offering an RM-S to Bill. ;D ;D
Brad you should know the honda in one of the photos, and I believe Steve had a good day.
Hilly when are you coming over? Looking forward to catching up with everyone at CD6.
-
