As if i havn't got enough projects on the go, i've decided to have a crack at fabricating an alloy fuel tank. I have everything sorted as far as patterns etc however i have one small roadhump, the filler cap spiggot. Does anyone know where i can get a ready made alloy spiggot that accepts a standard fuel cap like a Honda or Acerbis cap that i can weld into my tank.

go to acerbis website and download the fuel tank catalogue. look at part number 0001120. seems to look a bit different to the one above though.
http://www.acerbis.it/moto/index.php?module=catalog&type=detail&id=427&cat=19 should be able to weld that in.
i have seen these on ebay in UK.
www.offroadimports.com.au should also have them
or get a 77 PE 250 tank and cut the filler neck out of that. They use a modern black plastic tank cap. The large acerbis tank cap also fits PE tanks by the way.

Banshy,
I have purchased a complete aluminium cap and thread for that purpose from boating store. Although the neck was not all that big about the same size as an elsinores, come to thing of it, the cap looked very elsinorish as well.
