Title: 73M Frame details.
Post by: mx250 on February 14, 2009, 03:09:33 pm
This is the frame, marked 73m, that I'm mucking with for a maybe Vinduro bitza.

Are these standard fittings?

Were these Monties generally or the 73M bad vibrators? These are non standard reinforcing ain't they?

73M was not a vibrator!

I wonder what the story was with this frame. Every engine mount is broken, reinforced, missing and/or holes elongated ::) ???.

Is this the original tank mount for the 73M?

It looks like a mount was added to the early frame to mount the later
"bean" tank.  The later mount used a bolt going into a threaded portion.
Looks like someone added a stud.

Thanks Jared. I won't feel guilty if I cut it off to fit a Universal tank, which I have. I would like to use a Monty like the fibreglass VB's for the distinstive Monty look but I might just use what I have.
