Title: this will upset people , when posting a wanted add pls note

  ok i know this will get some savage feedback  but anyway  , i know we are all suffering financially , but if u have got a limited amount it might pay to say something like , for example , wanted cr 500 fr wheel , must be nos , will pay $50.00    instead of agreeing to a price that is  more  than the person will /can pay , saving a lot of greif for both parties

I thought if you both agreed the price then that's what should be paid, there's been offer and acceptance.

Why not just post the wanted add and see what comes of it. You can always offer to pay a FAIR price and like they said in "the Life of Brian" - "ya gotta 'aggle" !!! I would never say "Wanted '82 Maico factory reed barrell - I'll pay you $100" coz I doubt anyone would ring you (oh, except that Farrelly bloke - lol)

PS - I too am looking to BUY Maico bikes and parts from 60's to 83 !!! Cash on the nose  ;)

You pay a price based on what you can afford and what the seller wants. If he wants too much, politely decline the goods, and let's face it - if it's a rare part you may have to pay top dollar or you may be offered a bargain.

nope not at the moment  actually im going to voleenteer to do some stuff in king lake for some peolple i know when they will let us in

Wasp - you're right - that would piss me off too! I normally just tell a buyer I want X amount and if they are interested we go from there otherwise I keep my part and he keeps his money. Bargain hunters I can tolerate but time wasters shit me !

$75/hr - gee you come cheap, lol  :D
